Phoenix dactylifera fasting, urine samples were collected before the ingestion at 0h and every 4 hours after the consumption of date fruits at 4-24-h. Samples were analysed using LC-QTOF-MS, followed by Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Results revealed the changes of urinary metabolome during the 24 h after date fruits intake. order to further discover the metabolism of phytochemicals and its relation with human health.

Spectrophotometric analysis is a scientific technique that deals with light and its absorption and emission by solutions and other material substances. In this experiment, analytical Ultraviolet-Visible Absorption Spectroscopy (UV/Vis) was employed to determine absorption spectra and concentrations of a mixture made up of 𝐂𝐨(𝑵𝑶𝟑)𝟐 and de-ionized water. The Cobalt (II) Nitrate was analyzed in a range of wavelengths from 375-800nm and the optimal spectrum was identified to be 490nm where there is peak absorbance. The optimal resulting wavelength was then used in the analyzation of the unknown with respect to a set of prepared standards ranging from 0.005M and 0.05M. The reading resulted in an absorbance of 0.185 enabling the calculation of the concentration of [𝐂𝐨(𝑵𝑶𝟑)𝟐] = 𝟎.𝟑𝟒M.
