The book presents a new study on the Soviet Union's Higher Art and Technical Studios, known as Vkhutemas, and their pioneering curriculum that has been a source of inspiration for generations of architects, designers, and artists until the present day. The processes of institutionalizing the avant-garde, integrating architecture and science, teaching and praxis are analyzed. The experimental methodology of the pedagogical process is highlighted.

The study examined application of audio visual aids in teaching and learning of Business Education in J.S.S 1 in Ukwuani Local Government Area Delta State. In carry out this study, the researcher raised four (4) research questions to guide the study. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design using the survey research design. The total population of students used in this study is three hundred and thirty-two (322). Five (5) secondary schools were sampled. The researcher randomly selected twenty students from each of the selected secondary schools. However, the total sample size for this study is one hundred (100) students from the selected schools. This study used simple random sampling approach to obtain the subjects of the study. A questionnaire was constructed by the researcher and designed to elicit information. The data collected for this study were analyzed using simple percentage and mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions. Based on the findings from the analyzed data, the researcher recommended teachers should be encouraged to attend seminars and conference about the application of audio visual materials and resources in the teaching and learning of Business Education. Curriculum planners should encourage the use of audiovisual materials by inculcating them in the educational syllabus of all levels of education.

The book includes numerous biographies of notable captains, and contains an important chapter on the Cape Verdean community of New England. Highly recommended.
