“Energy and Resources” is a journal issued bimonthly by the Japan Society of Energy and Resources, which has been based in Tokyo, Japan, since 1980. The journal’s 224th issue was aimed at examining the historical movement of net zero energy homes from the past to the future and as a case study, today’s active international collaboration on zero energy mass custom home (ZEMCH) research and development was selected for the investigation. Accordingly, this article overviewed how the ZEMCH Network was initiated budding global movement for establishment of the new value, knowledge, and action through collaborative operation of the network’s global educational activities such as (1) the technical study tour, (2) the international conference, and (3) the design workshop. It highlighted impacts of the industry-academia knowledge transfer activities on the ZEMCH delivery in developed and developing countries.
