1 in critical condition, lanes closed after SUV strikes pedestrian in Rancho Cordova

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — A pedestrian is in critical condition after reportedly being struck by an SUV on Sunday morning in Rancho Cordova.

Around 10:15 a.m., an updated post by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office to social media said eastbound lanes of Folsom Boulevard at Coloma Road were closed following a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.

The pedestrian is in critical condition; the driver is reportedly cooperative and stayed at the scene, deputies said,

Deputies said other drivers should avoid the area and use alternate routes.
