Queensland came in third place, spending $966 per person on gambling every year,
NSW was the second biggest gambling state, with an astonishing $1,335 spend on gambling per person.
A small population of eager gamblers put the Northern Territory in first place by a good margin.
The average territorian spent $1,599 per person on gambling.
