Waterfalls pour off Uluru after record rain

Spectacular footage has captured one of Australia's rarer wonders - waterfalls cascading down the sides of Uluru.
The Red Centre has copped a major drenching recently, with more than 36mm at Yulara Airport in two days.
Footage showed streams of rainwater falling down the sides of Uluru and pooling at the bottom.

The record drenching is a bit out of season for the area, with Parks Australia stipulating that the heaviest falls usually come between November and March.
Uluru has two semi-permanent waterholes, Kantju Gorge and Mutitjulu Waterhole, which are fed by "raging" waterfalls when the rain is heavy enough, Parks Australia said.
But other falls form all around the rock.
