PHOENIX — Strong high pressure over the region will continue to bring extreme heat through Friday with some modest relief starting this weekend.
Afternoon high temperatures today and Friday will exceed 110 degrees for most lower desert locations with today seeing the hottest readings.
A slight bump in moisture for Friday and Saturday may bring some widely isolated showers and maybe a few storms over higher terrain areas before conditions dry out once
again starting Sunday.
