Vampires Everywhere! (known as The Killing Lights between 2013 and 2015) is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, California, currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The last lineup consisted of vocalist Michael Vampire and guitarists Matti Hoffman and Grey Soto. In 2021, the lead singer Michael Vampire reformed the group, and the band signed with Cleopatra Records, releasing "Witch", a single from their second EP, The Awakening, released in October 2021.
Vampires Everywhere! was founded in 2009 by Michael Orlando (a.k.a. Michael Vampire). The band's name came from the movie The Lost Boys . "Vampires Everywhere!" is a comic book in the movie that explains the rules of vampires and how to kill them. [1]
On February 9, 2010, Vampires Everywhere! released their debut EP Lost in the Shadows. The first single and music video, "Immortal Love", was released exclusively on PureVolume on January 18, 2010. Together with director Scott Hanson, who worked with A Day to Remember, Carnifex, A Skylit Drive and Alesana, Vampires Everywhere! produced a music video for their song Immortal Love which was shown at MTV 2 (Headbangers Ball), [2] [3] Heavy Rotation and Fuse On-Demand. The group toured through the US and Canada with acts including Escape The Fate [5] Brokencyde, [6] Black Veil Brides, Eyes Set to Kill, Get Scared, Dr. Acula, Aiden, Alesana, Honor Bright, Our Last Night, [7] Polkadot Cadaver and Modern Day Escape. They shared stage with X Japan and Murderdolls as the opener. They played a gig at SXSW 2010 with D.R.U.G.S., VersaEmerge and Black Veil Brides in Austin, Texas. [6]
Their single "Undead Heart" was released on November 29, 2010.
The debut album Kiss the Sun Goodbye followed on May 17, 2011, and was released worldwide via Hollywood Waste Records. Wil Francis (Aiden, William Control) was guest singer in the song "Bleeding Rain". [8] The Deluxe Version includes 3 Bonus tracks. Their second music video was directed by Fred Archambault who worked with Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones. [9] The album ranked on Place 19th at the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums and on Place 43 on Top Independent Albums (Billboard). [10]
Since then Alex Rouge and David Darko have left the band to form their own band called The Automatic Me.
In August 2011, Vampires Everywhere! played at Sunset Strip Music Festival. The band covered Katy Perry's song Teenage Dream. [11]
In Fall 2011, they played on the "Something Wicked This Way Comes Tour" with Wednesday 13, Polkadot Cadaver & Nightmare Sonata.
In December 2011, they announced that they would be releasing a new album sometime in 2012.
On April 25, 2012, bassist Philip Kross left the band, amicably, to pursue other projects. The next day, Vampires Everywhere! announced that Adam Vex would be replacing him temporarily while on tour. [12]
Their second album, Hellbound and Heartless , was released on June 19, 2012, presenting a drastic change in style from metalcore and gothic rock to industrial metal, featuring influences from shock rock and industrial metal acts such as Ministry and Marilyn Manson. The band played the entire Summer Vans Warped Tour to support the album. [1]
In October 2012, the band embarked the road with Alesana, In Fear and Faith, and Glamour of the Kill, then joined Orgy and Davey Suicide on the "Wide Awake and Dead" Tour throughout March 2013. [13] [14]
In November 2013, Michael released a statement, announcing that Vampires Everywhere! had been disbanded, and that the members would instead release new music as The Killing Lights. They released a new song, "Don't Turn Around", a few days later. [15]
On August 14, The Killing Lights released a video, directed by Will Da Rosa, for "Lies Spread Like Fire", a new song from their upcoming EP. [16] The Killing Lights later performed their first headlining show at Chain Reaction on October 4, where they played their EP in its entirety. [17]
On October 21, The Killing Lights released a second single, "Until I Bleed", through Kerrang! around the same time pre-orders for their EP, The Killing Lights , went live, the EP was released on December 2, 2014. [18]
A music video, directed by Brad Golowin, for "Until I Bleed" was planned for a November release, but was instead released on December 11, a tour in support of the EP was planned for 2015. [19]
On February 11, 2015, The Killing Lights reverted to Vampires Everywhere! [20] and, shortly after, announced that they were recording a new album in two sessions, the first to commence in March, [21] the second in April, in Salt Lake City. [22]
Michael Vampire later performed with Motionless In White at Rock on the Range. [23]
On November 30, the band played on the Bat2Bat Tour with Consider Me Dead and Set to Stun. [24] Immediately after the tour ended, they released the song "Black Betty", off the new album, Ritual, which had a tentative release date of early 2016. [25]
On January 19, 2016, they released the first official single from the new album, a cover of "Take Me to Church", featuring Alex Koehler of Chelsea Grin. [26] Ritual was finally released on March 18, 2016, and was supported by a short headlining tour, [27] before they joined Filter, Orgy, and Death Valley High on their Make America Hate Again Tour. November 2016, Vampires Everywhere! disbanded once again and Michael Vampire started a new band called Dead Girls Academy. [29]
In March 2021, Michael Vampire announced that Vampires Everywhere will have a second comeback and playing the first concert at Summit Music Fest. [30] In July the same year, the band released their comeback single "Witch," announced the release of their forthcoming EP The Awakening, and the signing with Cleopatra Records as well as an US tour throughout October with Assuming We Survive and The Bunny the Bear. Vampires Everywhere!'s sound spans several genres, including metalcore, post-hardcore, industrial metal, alternative metal, shock rock, and gothic rock. [32]
Noisecreep described the band as "an ultra-catchy hybrid of goth, metalcore and pop". [33] The band maintained an emo and goth image with horror themes in their lyrics, mainly around vampires. Lead singer Michael Vampire uses screamed and clean vocals, having already used synthesizer and autotune effects, especially at the beginning of the band's career. Regarding the band's vampire themes, Michael Vampire has stated "We didn't get inspired by Twilight or True Blood at all. I love True Blood and own season 1, but all of our influences come from the classics. By classics I mean The Lost Boys , Nosferatu , Bram Stoker's Dracula , Bela Lugosi, Fright Night , and more." Warlock was a German heavy metal band founded in 1982 in Düsseldorf by members of the underground bands Snakebite and Beast. The band gained popularity and some commercial success in Europe in the mid-1980s, due to the personality and stage presence of lead vocalist Doro Pesch. Warlock supported successful heavy metal bands on tour, such as W.A.S.P., Judas Priest, Dio and Megadeth.

The group formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently composed of lead vocalist Andy Biersack, multi instrumentalist Jinxx, lead guitarist Jake Pitts, drummer Christian "CC" Coma and bassist Lonny Eagleton. Black Veil Brides are known for their use of black makeup, body paint, tight black studded clothing, and long hair, which were all inspired by the stage personas of Kiss and Mötley Crüe, as well as other 1980s glam metal acts.

Rise to Remain was an English, London-based heavy metal band formed in 2006 and disbanded in 2015. The band made appearances at Download Festival, Sonisphere Festival and extensively toured the UK and Europe. The band released three EPs, the majority of which were "viral" releases, via their MySpace. On 16 March 2011 they signed their first major recording contract with EMI records, which was accompanied by the launch of their website and a free single download entitled "The Serpent". Their debut album, City of Vultures, was released on 5 September 2011, nearly a year after they had started work on recording the album. It was produced by revered metal producer Colin Richardson and Carl Bown. In 2014, the band released a new single entitled "Over and Over", which would be their last musical release.
The Word Alive is an American metalcore band formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2008. The band was signed to Fearless Records since their formation. In 2022, they changed their label and signed to Thriller Records. The band currently consists of vocalist Tyler Smith, guitarist Jose DelRio, and drummer Daniel Nelson. The group has had several line-up changes throughout their career, with no founding members remaining. Their second EP, Empire reached No. 15 on the Top Heatseekers, meeting a great amount of positive acclaim upon its release in 2009. The following year, the group recorded and released their debut studio album, Deceiver on August 31, 2010, which reached No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and 15 on Independent Albums.
Attila is an American metalcore band from Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 2005. Known for their rap and nu metal musical influences, they have released eight full-length albums since their inception.
Get Scared was an American post-hardcore band from Layton, Utah, formed in 2008. After their formation they released their first EP Cheap Tricks and Theatrics in 2009. A self-titled EP followed several months later in 2010. The band's debut studio album, Best Kind of Mess, was released on July 12, 2011. Following Nicholas Matthews' first departure to join Blacklisted Me, the band released Cheap Tricks and Theatrics B-Sides on December 19, 2011, without any previous announcements. Matthews was replaced by Joel Faviere near the end of 2011. The band's third EP and first with Faviere, Built for Blame, Laced With Shame, was released in 2012; Faviere was kicked out a few months after the EP's release when Matthews rejoined the band. Following Matthews' comeback, the band signed with Fearless Records and released their second full-length album, Everyone's Out To Get Me, on November 11, 2013. The band's third studio album, Demons, was released on October 30, 2015, and marked a departure from the band's post-hardcore sound featured on Built for Blame and Everyone's Out to Get Me in favor of a more metalcore-like sound. Their fourth and final album, The Dead Days, was released on April 19, 2019, amidst a hiatus; it was later stated by vocalist Nicholas Matthews that the band had broken up due to multiple issues between the band members. Though the band announced a reunion in 2022, plans ultimately fell through.
Bury Tomorrow are a British metalcore band formed in 2006 in Southampton, Hampshire, England. The band is composed of six members; lead vocalist Daniel Winter-Bates, bassist Davyd Winter-Bates, drummer Adam Jackson, lead guitarist Kristan Dawson, who replaced founding guitarist Mehdi Vismara in 2013, rhythm guitarist Ed Hartwell, and keyboardist and vocalist Tom Prendergast, who both replaced Jason Cameron in 2021. Bury Tomorrow have released seven studio albums, their most recent being The Seventh Sun, released on 31 March 2023.

Crossfaith is a Japanese metalcore band from Osaka that was formed in 2006, which currently consists of vocalist Kenta Koie, guitarists Kazuki Takemura and Daiki Koide, drummer Tatsuya Amano, and keyboardist Terufumi Tamano. They are characterized by performing a style of metalcore with dubstep and other forms of electronic music influences, and for their intense live performances.

The band's final lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist AJ Rebollo, bassist and vocalist Skyler Acord, and drummer Josh Manuel. They were known for their combination of metalcore, nu metal, pop and contemporary R&B.
Beartooth is an American rock band founded by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo in Columbus, Ohio, in 2012. Originally Shomo performed every instrument when in the studio, before being joined by a four-piece band. Beartooth has been signed to Red Bull Records since 2013; its debut EP Sick was released on July 26, 2013, followed by the debut full-length album Disgusting on June 10, 2014. Since then, Shomo has released a further three studio albums under the Beartooth moniker: Aggressive (2016), Disease (2018), and Below (2021). The band's fifth studio album, The Surface, was released on October 13, 2023.

The band consists of guitarists Pat Sheridan, Will Putney and Tim Howley, drummer Josean Orta, vocalist Joe Badolato, and bassist Peter "Blue" Spinazola. They are currently signed to Nuclear Blast and have released six studio albums since formation.
