Management team coordinates all volunteers, is involved in relationships with Wikimedia Foundation, local authorities, local associations and sponsors.
Programme Committee collaborates remotely prior to Wikimania 2016 to review conference submissions and to put together the conference program. Other volunteers are involved in the accompanying program of Wikimania (e.g. evening events, excursions) and in the organization of activities on the territory before, during and after Wikimania 2016.
Participants team coordinates deals with registration form, on-site registrations and hospitality for participants. They coordinate with the location team for accomodations and attendees needs.
Technical team is responsible for the technical aspects of the conference, such as connectivity. Their job is to make sure that venues are adequately set up with all the necessary equipment for the event.
Volunteers who are responsible for location organize accomodations and verify that everything is ready to welcome Wikimania participants in the best way possible. They are involved in the coordination of transports, food, and adequacy of venues.
The safety team coordinate volunteers in case of emergency and collaborates with medical staff, police forces and Civil Protection for any eventuality.
Communication team is responsible for the publication of the initiatives related to Wikimania through press releases, social networks and websites. They are also involved in the documentation of Wikimania 2016 with photos and videos.
The scholarship committee is an important and diverse group of volunteers who help to run the scholarship program in accordance with the pillars of this Wikimania.
The evaluation team focuses in evaluating Wikimania Esino Lario. It collaborates with the Documentation and Wikimedia projects working group to make sure documentation about the event is collected and produced and it manages an online questionnaire. Finally, it verifies that this conference has complied the pillars.
