Breeze Airways will be expanding service at Westchester County Airport, including the addition of service to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Portland, Maine.
According to Breeze’s President Tom Doxey, “This year we are focused on building on the solid foundation we have established in many of our key origin cities, especially on the East Coast.”
Breeze’s expanded service at Westchester that was announced today includes adding service on Monday and Friday to Raleigh-Durham , North Carolina, starting May 3 and adding Wednesdays from June 26 through October. It will run summertime service between Westchester and Portland, Maine, on Thursdays and Sundays starting June 20. There will be flights to Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Summer service to Norfolk, Virginia, on Monday and Friday will resume June 21. Summer service to Jacksonville, Florida, on Tuesdays and Saturdays resumes June 22.
Breeze is offering promotional fares of $49 and $59 on some routes between Westchester and other cities through April 30.
Breeze Airways began service in May 2021. It offers a mix of more than 150 year-round and seasonal nonstop routes between 56 cities in 29 states. The airline was founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman. It reported earlier this month that it made a profit in March, but did not disclose a dollar amount. It said that during the first quarter of this year the total number of passengers it has carried since its inception topped five million.
