Luminate Streaming Ratings: ‘Cobra Kai,’ ‘Love Island USA,’ ‘Find Me Falling’ and ‘Hillbilly Elegy’ Top TV and Film Charts July 19-25

Strike first and strike hard, indeed. Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” and Peacock’s “Love Island USA” topped the Luminate streaming originals TV series charts for the July 19-25 period. On the film side, Netflix’s new rom-com “Find Me Falling” and a resurgent “Hillbilly Elegy” led the field.

The Season 6 debut of “Cobra Kai” delivered 716 million minutes watched in the show’s first full week of availability, following the July 18 premiere of the first half of its final season. The July 21 season finale of relationship reality show “Love Island USA” drove that show to rack up 631 million minutes watched.

Amazon Prime Video's "The Boys" also had a strong frame thanks to its Season 4 finale bowing July 18. The superhero sendup finished out with 431.6 million minutes viewed. The conclusion of Season 1 of Apple TV+'s David E. Kelley drama "Presumed Innocent" took that show up the charts in a big way to 424.1 million minutes watched.

The Netflix Asia drama "Master of the House" was a sleeper on the TV series chart with 271.2 million minutes watched in its first full week of availability. So was the Netflix docu series "Simone Biles: Rising," which undoubtedly grabbed attention because of the onset of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris this week, where the star gymnast will compete.

Among streaming original movies, the one to catch was "Find Me Falling" with 634.3 million minutes watched and about 8 million total views. The rom-com, directed by Stelana Kliris, stars Harry Connick Jr. and Agni Scott.

The No. 2 spot was taken by "Hillbilly Elegy," the 2020 drama based on the memoir of JD Vance, Donald Trump's GOP running mate in the presidential contest. The Ron Howard-helmed film, which nabbed a best supporting actress Oscar nomination for Glenn Close, generated 573.8 million minutes watched and 4.9 million views.

Disney+'s "Descendents: The Rise of Red" held up well in its second full week in release, ranking at No. 3 with 299.1 million minutes watched and 3.3 million views. Last week, the latest installment of Disney's "Descendents" franchise rocketed to No. 1 with 1.1 billion minutes viewed.

"Tyler Perry's Divorce in the Black" also had legs with 165.2 million minutes viewed to rank at No. 6 in its second week, with 1.5 million views. Indian film "Maharaj" popped into the top 10 nearly a month after its June 21 release with 152.3 million minutes watched and 1.2 million views.
