Kate Winslet, Kerry Washington and Joey King are among this year’s recipients of WIF Honors.

The annual WIF (formerly known as Women in Film, Los Angeles) gala will also honor Annette Bening and Michelle Buteau.

Winslet will receive the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film along with her “Lee” director Ellen Kuras. The Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV will be awarded to Buteau and her “Survival of the Thickest” co-creator Danielle Sanchez-Witzel.

Jane Fonda will present the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award to Bening.

Washington will be presented with the Entrepreneur in Entertainment Award while King will become the 19th recipient of the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award.

“The 2024 honorees embody the very essence of leadership, creativity and advocacy that WIF has championed for over 50 years,” WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer said in a statement. “Their remarkable contributions, both on and off the screen, are a testament to the progress we continue to make toward a more equitable and inclusive entertainment industry. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and the lasting change they inspire.”

WIF Honors Committee co-chairs Monica Levinson and Talitha Watkins said, “This year’s WIF Honors theme, The Power of the Collective, underscores how collaboration and inclusive storytelling can drive change. Our honorees exemplify this spirit, demonstrating how collective strength can reshape culture and challenge industry norms. Their accomplishments this year are a beacon of hope for a more equitable future.”

WIF board of directors member Jurnee Smollett will deliver opening remarks at the benefit, which supports WIF’s educational and philanthropic programs, and its advocacy for gender parity in entertainment.

Additional presenters and participating talent will be announced in the coming weeks. 

WIF Honors is presented by Max Mara with Visionary Sponsor ShivHans Pictures and additional support from Amazon MGM Studios, Lexus, Netflix and STARZ #TakeTheLead.

WIF Honors takes place Oct. 24 at the Beverly Hilton.
