In 2021, the Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems - IHC - celebrates its 20th edition. The first edition in Maringá - PR took place with the Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering (SBES) in 1998. Since then, the event has grown and consolidated itself as the leading national Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) conference in Brazil, promoting the meeting and interaction between researchers, industry professionals, professors, and students to discuss the state-of-the-art in the area, both in terms of research and in terms of its practical application. The event encourages collaboration between different groups, disciplines, and geographic regions. IHC is promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) through its Special Commission on Human-Computer Interaction (CEIHC).
