Enhancing image search experience with similarity-based grouping

Published: 24 November 2014 Publication History

Abstract

Most of the existing search engines mainly provide query by text or keyword, even we are searching multimedia contents like images. A common problem that may arise in keyword search of image is the cluttered results. It is usual for an image to be tagged with multiple labels/keywords, as there are several objects within the scene, and some keywords have multiple meanings. As a result, one can expect the query results from a keyword search will be composed of images with wide variety in contents.
