Emergency Call Boxes

What are emergency call boxes?
Call boxes provide two-way communication between the caller and the UNG Police Communications Center where a trained police dispatcher answers your call.

Emergency call boxes can be used to report:

  • Any type of emergency situation
  • Suspicious activity
  • To ask for a courtesy escort
  • Any other public safety-related inquiry

Where are they located?
They are commonly positioned in parking areas and around student housing buildings. You are encouraged to become familiar with the call box locations on your campus.

Difficult times are made easier with help. The Dean of Students was established so that someone would always be available to listen to individual students and connect them with the resources specifically designed to assist them with their type of hardship.

B.I.T. is a cross-departmental, early prevention task force focused on mitigating disruptive or troubling behavior found in members of the university community before it grows too severe.

The Clery and Gruver Acts aim to reassure students and ensure colleges and universities maintain safe environments devoted to the tenets of intellectual progress and civil development.

Max Gruver Act

The Gruver Act requires any misconduct of student organizations be publicly posted to warn students of legal, reputational, psychological, or physical risks potentially associated with joining such organizations.
