Wonderful news to hear Cardiff Living Wage City Steering Group has been recognised with a prestigious prize for its outstanding work on the #RealLivingWage in the city. 👏 #Cardiff became the first Capital City in the UK to be recognised as a #LivingWageCity back in 2019. Since then 67,000 people now work for one of Cardiff’s 225 accredited #LivingWage employers and almost 13,000 of those have had a pay rise to the real Living Wage, which has injected an additional £82.7 million into the local economy. #News | Almost a quarter (23%) of employees in Wales have experienced workplace conflict over the past year and of those, more than half (56%) chose not to report incidents according to the CIPD #GoodWorkIndex 2024. Women in #Wales are also more likely to experience conflict at work with 27% reporting incidents compared to just 19% of male employees. Today, we held our fourth half day conference in Cardiff and, what a wonderful, inspiring, emotional and valuable day it was: Neurodiversity and the workplace. We had the pleasure of welcoming more than 120 people professionals, academics, students - amongst others- to learn about #neurodiversity from the CIPD perspective, to academic and practical information, individual and organisations journeys and a broader discussion on policy. Thank you so much to our fantastic guest speakers and panelists , it was a privilege to listen to you today. Truly inspiring and moving.
