We are delighted to be assisting SEDDON CONSTRUCTION LIMITED in closing off final surveys and certification at Stockport College, which includes post construction BREEAM Assessment. The £23m project has delivered 95,900 sq ft of space across three new, sustainably designed buildings as well as a remodelled landscape. We were delighted to assist national award-winning Main Contractor GMI Construction Group PLC with the completion testing of the new £3.2m Jobcentre Plus offices in South Shields. The building is now fully operational and saw the current branch in Barrington Street moved to the new purpose-built facility on Mile End Road. The 12,000 sq ft project targeted a BREEAM Very Good rating and is part of a wider repurposing of South Shields town centre. We've recently seen our BREEAM assessment works complete on the new 75,000 sq ft factory for global robotics company CMR Surgical. The Cambridge Company develops and manufactures a Versius® Surgical Robotic System that is helping to revolutionise surgery around the world. We were appointed to deliver BREEAM Assessment and consultancy for contractor Clegg Food Projects, ensuring the scheme met it's Very Good target sustainability rating, as well as delivering on-completion thermographic surveys and air permeability testing. We are very pleased to be delivering final BREEAM certification to BAM UK & Ireland for the transformation of the iconic Central House in Whitechapel, London. A project of immense technical challenges, The Rowe is an ambitious redevelopment for real estate developer Frasers Property Limited, delivering innovative and environmentally conscious prime office space. The scheme not only achieves a BREEAM Excellent rating, but is also seeking WELL Platinum certification. The Rowe will see a carbon emission reduction of 45% compared to standard office buildings and provides more than 1,500m² of external space and private terraces on each floor. 47% of windows are openable, and with powerful smart technology features, biophilic design and an innovative HVAC design including a chilled beam system to the lower floors, The Rowe sets a benchmark for central, prime office space. We are delighted to be signing off on a number of services and delivery of another successful BREEAM project in the educational space - this time in North West London. North Brent School is a new, sustainable five-form building with an interlinked sixth form block, spacious modern classrooms and the latest technology. Delivered by BAM UK & Ireland, the school is part of the Wembley Multi-Academy Trust providing 1,150 places for pupils in years 7 to 13. I think this is one of the first projects we've seen come to fruition where early consideration of embodied carbon has materially affected the end product.
