On Monday we had the pleasure of volunteering with our new charity sponsor, Cancer Fund for Children at their Daisy Lodge respite centre in Newcastle. A team of 12 staff members rolled up their sleeves and spent the day painting fences, gardening and doing landscape maintenance ahead of families using the respite facilities from Tuesday onwards. Daisy Lodge offers families affected by cancer a much needed break, providing 2.5 days of respite, relaxation and a sense of normality in the middle of a challenging time. Our team was inspired by the incredible work this charity does and are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause. The facilities and care offered at Daisy Lodge are second to none, focussing on the mental wellbeing of the family and ensuring that the non-clinical spaces allow each member of the family to benefit from the much needed break. We believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting families during their toughest times. This volunteer day was not only about giving back but also about fostering teamwork and solidarity within our own team. As an office we hope to raise as much money as possible to support this amazing cause. Thank you Cancer Fund for Children for the vital work you do and for allowing us to be a part of your mission. We look forward to more opportunities to support this fantastic organisation.

Yesterday we hosted the successful launch of the Belfast Networking Committee. The dedicated committee provides a safe space where everyone can connect, share ideas and stay informed about ongoing activities and individual contributions. We hope it will serve as a hub for collaboration, information exchange and collective engagement, fostering a cohesive and informed office culture.

A great turnout and a super night’s entertainment was had at our Charity Quiz at Pug Uglys last week. Many thanks to Leo McSweeney for taking on the role of quizmaster. Delighted that we raised over £400 for our very worthy charity partner Cancer Fund for Children - huge thanks to all involved.
