🔎 How often do you stop to think about what you really do at work? Last week the amazing SL&D EMEA Team met in the #London office. We were missing one superstar 😢 , but joined by another who will be with us from January 👀 Every #Gartner client knows (or should know!) that using Gartner Score is the best way to rationalize where to spend your time and money. 🥂 I'm a big advocate of "drinking your own champagne" (and drinking champagne in general, but I digress), so we spent our day carrying out an SL&D Score activity. The idea of Score is to look at all functional activities, chart their importance to your #mission and your maturity in each. The result is a stack rank of your most critical areas of opportunity. What did we learn? 📈 The job has expanded significantly in the last 18 months. 😎 There are many cool and fun things we want to do...but they don't necessarily align to our core priorities. 😰 There are places where we are getting little return for a lot of energy and time spent..so we can pull back and redirect those efforts elsewhere! The result? A renewed alignment on our #purpose as a function and guiding principles to take to our work on a daily basis. We know Q4 is the most high pressure time for our Sales colleagues. We are here and ready to support. How many Winners Circle qualifiers will we get from this year's New Hire community?! LFG 🚀
