5 years WeAreKey Today marks 5 years since we started this adventure, a great moment for celebrating and reflecting! WeAreKey started from the idea to solve the high turnover issue within the hospitality industry. I have worked in hospitality since I started as a waitress at age 15 and from my own experience I could say that there was not much room or opportunity for growth. The business owners were too busy with their business activities and staff was easily replaceable. When I started working as a team leader at the hotel where this whole journey began, I realized that I was doing the same thing. Without attention to my staff, or without having the time to give them proper attention, we wasted much talent that could have developed beyond their initial roles.  However, fostering growth requires time and dedicated attention. So, what if we started a company solely dedicated to nurturing and supporting staff? The business owner could concentrate on their core operations while we take responsibility for all HR aspects. With this idea in mind, I simply started by opening my laptop and simply googling “recruitment agency”, and what started with just the two of us has developed into a full team that dedicates themselves every day to provide and support to both our  flexworkers and partners. Leading a team and company is not easy. During this journey I have encountered failures and setbacks but also learned a lot from my team and business partner Cheng Hsu. Do I still make mistakes? Yes! Do I learn from this? Every time!  My team and Cheng Hsu challenge me daily and this is what makes it so fun and keeps me going.  In these 5 years we have survived the pandemic, welcomed and said our goodbyes to colleagues while learning something new from each and everyone of them.
