Introducing our new information resource: Young Lives vs Cancer and Me Young Lives vs Cancer and Me is a child-friendly introduction to Young Lives vs Cancer, including: - How we help children with cancer - How we help their families - What a charity is - How we keep children and their data safe - How children can tell us what they think of our services. The two versions of the resource, which are designed for five to eight year olds and nine to 12 year olds, also include fun activities like a word search and colouring. Our specialist social workers will share them with families to help children understand who we are and what we do. Visit our website to read them online or download a printer-friendly PDF copy: For five to eight year olds: https://bit.ly/4dHnXWG For nine to 12 year olds: https://bit.ly/3T4ONzJ

Nobody will remember: Your job title How busy you were How many hours you worked People will remember: The support you gave to children and young people with cancer. The times you messaged them saying 'I’m thinking of you'. The marathon you ran, the funds you raised, the times you campaigned for change to support families like theirs.

Have you seen Cheer Bear?! So far more than 50,000 people up and down the country have got their paws on a Care Bear pin badge or keyring, making a massive difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer. They're being sold by our partners at One Stop Stores Ltd, with all profits from the sale of the pins and keyrings supporting Young Lives vs Cancer. While Good Luck Bear, Funshine Bear and Grumpy Bear are all adorable, Cheer Bear is proving most popular of all, and rumour has it that there are only a few left. So, can you find Cheer Bear?! Pop into your local One Stop store and see if you can find her, and if so, don’t forgot to snap a picture and share with us! Pictured is lucky Young Lives vs Cancer Fundraising Engagement Manager Kim with her very own Cheer Bear keyring.

The disturbing acts of racial hatred and islamophobia that have unfolded across the UK are deeply troubling and go against the values we stand for at Young Lives vs Cancer and the communities we serve. To those in the cancer community and our colleagues who live in, work in, or are members of the affected communities, please know that you have our unwavering support. We stand with you during this challenging time. Hate and division have no place in our society, and we will continue to stand against these forces with strength, unity, and compassion. We will continue to work tirelessly to make sure that every child and young person with cancer, and their families, receive the care they need, when they need it. We’ve turned off comments on this post as we don’t want to expose anyone to anymore hateful views, or amplify negative voices in this space. Visual description: White text on a plum background which reads: Hate and division have no place in our society. To those in the cancer community and members of the affected communities - you have our unwavering support. We stand with you during this challenging time. Welcome to Team Young Lives, The Access Group! The organisation and its staff already have big plans to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer and their families. Some of us got to meet staff from the Access Group at their summer party and tell them all about the work we do to support young people and families. We can’t wait to work together over the next year.
