Located along Carlos Place, this former bank and art gallery is The Row’s first retail space in London, adding to their existing Los Angeles and New York stores. The 7,500 sq ft boutique was constructed to an accelerated 13 week programme, creating two retail shop levels, changing rooms, M&E / back of house facilities and a new feature staircase. Mayfair Design District 2024. Westgreen hosted our annual tour of some of the most prestigious gallery and retail spaces across Mayfair Design District. Curated and led by MDD Director, James Malcolm Green and Alter-Projects Ltd Founder, Anne-Laure Pingreoun, the tour encompassed visits to Lalique, Sketch, Diptyque, Fortnum & Mason, David Gill Gallery, COYA, Achille Salvagni Atelier, FUMI and HOLLY HUNT. The tour coincides with the London Design Festival, celebrating and promoting the city as the design capital of the world. Last Friday two of our Project & Site Managers, Conor and Luke, had the pleasure of spending the day with Youssef, a young person from the Construction Youth Trust. The aim was to provide Youssef with onsite experience of a construction site, of which the Westgreen team were eager to encourage the next generation. The team discussed the elements of project management and communicated the measures implemented, to reduce the risk of injury and harm to our employees and supply chain. This included; manual handling, work and access equipment, access/egress, site security, lifting operations with a goods hoist, housekeeping and trailing cables, storage of materials, electricity, temporary works, PPE, protection of the environment, signage and considering neighbouring properties. The Construction Youth Trust are a social mobility charity that inspires and enables young people to reach their full career potential. Over the past year, Westgreen have actively supported the trust by providing expert knowledge to groups of young people via webinars. We are passionate about providing opportunities for young people, encouraging the next generation into this amazing industry. Located on the prestigious New Bond Street, the Ermenegildo Zegna rebuild restored the splendour of an elegant shopping frontage and full fit-out. The new façade made from a combination of red brick and Portland stone, of which the decorative stone facades were carefully restored off site and returned to present a unified façade inspired in the original layout.
