Lisburn-based company, M-Power, wins the Lisburn and Castlereagh heat of the regional Ultimate Pitch competition. It designed an App that will help those with menopause follow their journey and alleviate symptoms, while paring with wearable devices. Following yesterday’s event hosted by Alderman Amanda Grehan, Regeneration & Growth Chair Emma will now head to the regional final at the Innovation Lab Belfast, on 21st November to coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week. Emma secured a prize of £1,000 yesterday and is in with a chance to secure the grand prize of £6,000 at final. There was tough competition from other local entrepreneurs and early start-ups at the Lisburn and Castlereagh heat. Alderman Allan Ewart MBE was glad he didn’t have to judge all the 90s pitches but thanked our judging panel for their support of these entrepreneurial journeys. Judges Jeb Berkeley (South Eastern Regional College), Oscar Wooley (SUKI Tea Makers) and Dave Linton (Madlug™) also nominated category award winners at the event in Lagan Valley Island. SarahJane Reynolds of JKS Inclusion, won the local inclusive entrepreneurship category, Gail Cook secured the impact category and Emma Stephenson was chosen as the local ‘rising star’ category winner. 💻Read more at https://lnkd.in/eThV5cvx Excalibur Press
