Our Advisory Board does such a wonderful job of supporting our work and steering us to deliver what is most important to the advertising industry, and this is down to individuals stepping up to represent their organisations. So we wanted to put them front and centre, and get to to know them a bit better! First up we have James Brook Partridge from Hogarth. 💡 "We are on people's screens all the time, so how brands talk about sustainability matters. The content of what we make matters." https://lnkd.in/dbAFTDSA #sustainability #advertising #sustainableproduction #adagency #adproduction #environmentalsustainability

London ➡️ New York in one second ⏲️ That's the beauty of having teams on both side of the pond; we can represent AdGreen at a range of events, and no one needs to take a flight!* Not to mention how invaluable it is having local knowledge to address particular challenges faced by the American production community. Whether it is our Account Manager Sophie Broadbent, presenting in Europe, or our US Director, Emily P. Fleischer, on a panel in the States, we are committed to using the data from the carbon calculator to inform our own company travel, and believe there are numerous benefits to having a local spokesperson share their experience. Thank you Advertising Week New York for inviting us, and fellow panellists John Osborn, Ad Net Zero, Simon Sikorski Kellyanne Perez-Vera, MBA David Rolfe, for an insightful conversation on the state of sustainable production. #sustainability #advertising #production #adweek #adweeknewyork #AWNY #carbonemissions #sustainableproduction #sustainability *(2.49 tCO2e to fly economy from London to New York and back, in case you were wondering.)

The Campaign UK Ad Net Zero awards shortlist is out, and we'd like to spotlight one particular category. Unsurprisingly, it is 'Best Practice in Sustainable Ad Production'. So a big shout out to Diageo , Mars , Revolt , MurphyCobb , Hello Earth , Hogarth , Netflix and Papaya Films , for making it onto the shortlist, and sharing your conscious content creation process with the rest of the industry! Here is our low-key celebration to acknowledge the work you've all put in, we can't wait to hear more. See you at the awards! https://lnkd.in/ewRmz9R7

Who doesn't love a montage? Turns out we had more photos than we realised, so yes, it is quite a long video, but then 10 years is quite a long time. AdGreen has evolved a lot since it started, so here is a whistle-stop tour of that journey, accompanied by an impromptu speech from Stephen Woodford to mark the occasion. A couple of people you might spot... *deep breath* Jo Fenn Donna Head Sophie Broadbent Cat Long Tobi Grace Lauren McGee Emily P. But which birthday to celebrate?? We opted for all of them. It has be 10 years since Jo started AdGreen, as a grassroots sustainable production project advocating for on-set recycling and a reduction in single use plastics. We've come a long way since then, joining the Advertising Association in 2020, launching a carbon calculator in 2021, and a new carbon calculator just a month ago. We now focus on the big picture, helping brands, agencies and production companies to reduce large scale carbon emissions on set, to create a carbon literate industry workforce. We've been supported in doing this along the way by many people, and have to thank: ➡ Kati Hall (AIEMA), Frankie Singler (PIEMA REnvP), Mark Downes, our original sustainability trainers ➡ Steve Davies and Alesia Duff-Farrier at the Advertising Producers Association (APA), for getting the word out to the production community ➡ Eliot Liss at the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) for engaging the many many ad agencies in our mission ➡ Stuart Macnaughtan & Rob Newman at ISBA for bringing sustainable production onto the radar for so many brands ➡ Isabelle Doran and the team at the Association of Photographers for giving us a great platform, as well as the sustainability working group including Angus Light, Holly McGlynn, 🌱Kai Bastard, Hat Margolies, Carol Sharp and more ➡ Bryony Harrison-Miller and the Get Set Hire team, for being superb sponsors across a number of years ➡ The Ad Net Zero team, including Anthony Falco, Elle Chartres, Alex d'Albertanson, Rosi Croom, Sam Woodman PIEMA REnvP, Nadia Zwain and Amy Nash, the US team, John Osborn and Rachel Schnorr, the chapter in Ireland led by Mary O'Sullivan, and the many others who have supported these teams ➡ The whole team at the AA, including comms support from Matt Bourn, Mariella Brown and Grace Hughes, vital editing from George Grant, finance wizardry from Tessa Kirk, Danielle Wilson, Paulina Bator & Cameron Deer, day-to-day chaos management from Holly Bullen, and a whole lot of emotional support from everyone else These individuals have all helped us at different stages of our development, so would probably have different answers to which birthday we should be celebrating, but regardless of when they joined us, they have all been instrumental in getting us to this point. There are many more people we could mention, but this post is long enough, so for now we will just ask... Have you registered for our new (free) carbon calculator yet? Why not? It would be a lovely birthday present. app.weareadgreen.org (A massive thank you to Daniela at Vida Bakery for joining in! There is a lot more love for the cake to come later this week...)

It's our 4th birthday, and so we thought we'd keep the celebrations low key, and limited to a reasonable birthday week... Celebrating a birthday feels like a good time to reflect on our growth, and that is most visible in the literal growth of our team! In 2020, Jo Fenn was running AdGreen solo, when it was acquired by the Advertising Association under the direction of Stephen Woodford, and AdGreen started to collaborate with Ad Net Zero. In 2021, Jo was joined by Sophie Broadbent and Cat Long, to launch the first carbon calculator, built on the framework of BAFTA's WeAreALBERT tool, made for the TV and film industry. Then came Lauren McGee in 2022, Tobi Grace in 2023 and Donna Head in 2024. Along the way we've been joined by Tobias Wilbrink and Marty Keizer in the Netherlands, and Emily P. Fleischer in the US, to help take AdGreen global. And we are grateful for the support of Anthony Falco and Tricia Duffy, who supported the early development of the company. There are many many more people we could thank, but we've got a whole week to go, so watch this space... #sustainability #advertising #production #environmental #sustainableadvertising

When you're at an event and you spot your new banner... We think it asks a very important question, do you know the carbon footprint of your ad campaign? As well we being beautifully designed by Grace Hughes. A big thank you to the Advertising Association, for hosting the President's reception at the Snap Inc. office, with a big shout out to Suzanne Costello (She/her) and Phoebe Sallitt for organising. Alessandra Bellini gave a summary of the last three years within the ad industry, with a focus on people, and it was a moment to celebrate the launch of the training hub which features the AdGreen sustainable production training! A round of applause to Itty Alimi, Sharon Lloyd Barnes & Sarah Virani for their work on this. Thanks for the invite, we promise we only embarrassed ourselves briefly to get this video...
