    What does it mean for the digital sector when women lead? 👩🏽💻👩🏻💻👩🏼💻👩🏿💻 That was just one of the questions posed by moderator Ellie Edwards-Scott at this year’s Digital Women in Cannes panel, hosted by NewDigitalAge. Our Global Head of Innovation and Platforms, Sarah Salter spoke about the huge role women play in shaping how artificial intelligence (AI) is coming into play in marketing. She said: "Ethics has to be led by emotional intelligence and AI has to be led by how humans feel it should be represented in the world. As women, I’m seeing incredible people step up to the plate and drive the ethics and governance conversations that really need to be had." Arancha Cordero, SVP Dairy, Head of Global Category, Danone, argued that it may be a women’s issue, but it’s everybody’s problem to solve. “We don’t see ourselves [in a leadership position] because we don’t identify with what is considered to be the official standard of leadership, and we don’t ask for a new version. It’s critical to change what the leadership standards are and companies need to take that responsibility. You need people on the company board to take ownership of the programme, and of course HR needs to play a key role, but not only HR.     Last week, NYC Wavemakers united for an epic end-of-summer sendoff AKA “Potluck in the Park”! 🌞🍽️ Gathered in Rockefeller Park to soak up the last rays of summer together, they enjoyed homemade delights, refreshing drinks, cornhole, and (of course) a mountain of pizza.  The evening’s events and conversations left the team energized and ready to continue to positively provoke growth. Here's to creating more memories, strengthening bonds, and gearing up for an amazing 2025! Shout out to Jonathan E. Adams for bringing our NYC Wavemakers together. 🧡

Bringing her diverse set of experiences from across the media and telecommunications industries, Johanna’s appointment comes after a period of remarkable success for Wavemaker Sweden, which has seen four years of continuous growth and record high levels of both client and employee satisfaction 👏 Johanna said: “The media agency role has developed and broadened enormously in recent years. Together with the specialists at GroupM and our fantastic team in Stockholm and Malmö, we are ready to navigate our clients’ challenges and future-proof their business.     Last week, we brought together 3,000 colleagues from GroupM UK and our agencies, Wavemaker UK, T&Pm, Mindshare UK, EssenceMediacom UK and EssenceMediacomX, for our Connect event.   The day was centred on building connections and collaboration, highlighting how essential these are to creating a dynamic and enjoyable workplace. It was also a unique opportunity for everyone to gather under one roof, enjoying great food, music, and each other's company at the iconic Beams in London. We also celebrated “Work that Works,” where our people voted for their standout client campaign across the group.
