Throwback to 2023 where our ViiV Canada team launched 'Ribbons of Acceptance’ in collaboration with Canadian HIV Advocates. Despite advances in treatment, stigma remains an issue with many Canadians still uncomfortable discussing HIV or fear close contact with people living with HIV. This campaign supported the community, challenged misconceptions, and showcased the power of the HIV red ribbon. Watch the video below and join us in raising awareness, fostering acceptance, and ending HIV stigma. #EndHIVStigma #RibbonsOfAcceptance #WeWontStop

Did you know that ‘ICD’ is a coding system that is used to classify different medical conditions around the world? The current code for #HIV does not reflect the progress we’ve made in the global #HIV response. Laura Waters and Dr Nneka Nwokolo are trying to change that by submitting a new code that will acknowledge people living with HIV who have an undetectable viral load. We know we have the tools in our hands to #EndTheEpidemic but we can't do it alone. Take a look at GSK CEO Emma Walmsley, in conversation with one of our key partners, Mitchell Warren from AVAC where they discuss how, by continuing to put people first in everything we do, we can get ahead of HIV together. At ViiV Healthcare, #WeWontStop until we #EndHIV - find out more here: https://lnkd.in/d-QZd8bD
It is overwhelmingly clear that together we can end the HIV/AIDS epidemic - we have the science, the tech, the talent, and the partnerships. And what really stays with me from this inspiring chat with Mitchell Warren activist and executive director at AVAC is that when we put people and their needs first – innovation happens. This is how we’ll get ahead of HIV together, for good.
