Vienna to Reims hosted by Veuve Clicquot on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. ⁣ A once-in-a-lifetime experience where celebration and radiant art de vivre intertwined. Capturing the essence of slow luxury and the art of living, the journey was the destination of the Solaire experience. As the train travelled towards Reims, pine clad mountains were replaced by ancient vineyards and historic chateaux. An epicurean experience unfolded, where a gala dinner was complemented by timeless and rare Veuve Clicquot cuvees. The dream tablescapes of the train's art-deco dining cars set the tone of the evening as views evolved from Vienna to the alpine scenery of Innsbruck. Waking up in the Champagne region, guests started the day with a sparkling celebration. Arriving in Reims, passengers were met by a special culinary experience hosted by Jean Imbert and Mory Sacko within the UNESCO-listed crayères. From Paris to Portofino: Two Legends Meet For the first time in its history, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express travelled to the Ligurian coast. Departing from Paris, the train zigzagged towards Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, with romantic landscapes stretching as far as the eye could see. From Paris, we moved through the Rhone Valley, on to the dramatic coastlines of Cannes and Monaco, the vistas evolving in an endless series of colours, and tomorrow holding the promise of the glittering Italian Riviera. The dining cars were filled with the likes of seabass with Champagne sauce and caviar, artichoke agnolotti with fragrant sage butter, and stuffed courgette flowers with grilled red mullet and Marmande tomato, as our guests were the first to sample Chef Jean Imbert's summer menu. From France to Italy, the culinary heritage could be tasted in each dish. Arriving in Portofino coincided with the summer solstice, illuminating the spellbinding Ligurian village brighter than ever – a sparkling vision of sea set against a backdrop of colourful houses. Stepping off the train, guests headed to the legendary @belmondhotelsplendido where an evening of La Dolce Vita awaited.
