We commissioned the curator and consultancy Company, Place to develop ‘Another Landscape’ – a long-term interdisciplinary arts strategy designed to establish the creative and cultural roots of the Begbroke community through a series of site-specific art commissions. We’re thrilled to share that Company, Place founder and cultural strategist Vickie Hayward recently spoke with Architecture Today about the transformative role of art in placemaking at the University of Oxford’s Begbroke Innovation District, informing a masterplan by Hawkins\Brown. Vickie’s work at the University of Oxford, Begbroke Science Park is paving the way for a unique integration of art and science in shaping community spaces.
