Our position is clear: make the UK safer for the next generation. Yesterday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, and Idris Elba brought together campaigners, policing and community leaders to 10 Downing Street to form a new coalition to tackle knife crime. Alongside this, we announced key measures to ban Ninja swords and disrupt the illegal online sales of knives - preventing knives from falling into the wrong hands and protecting young people from violence.
