Earlier this month, TritonTrak helped a Midlands-based groundworks company prevent the theft of a mini digger, leading to two arrests after a swift police operation. The company was carrying out roadworks in Warwickshire when they were alerted by the TritonTrak Plant Telematics System to an unauthorized movement around 11:30pm On Tuesday 10th September. Within minutes, multiple police units arrived at the scene and discovered two men attempting to load a Bobcat E10 excavator, valued at approximately £20,000, into a stolen vehicle. The suspects fled, with one apprehended by a canine unit and the other located shortly later by a police helicopter in a nearby field. The customer has been reunited with their machine however, the stolen vehicle was unfortunately crushed. The two suspects have been charged with theft are due to be sentenced next month.
