Bold investment has helped us navigate tough times and launch Now You're Talking - offering counselling backed by our trusted 40 year charity history. Now You're Talking is a profit-for-purpose organisation, meaning profits are donated back to support our charitable work. This investment has allowed both customer-funded and free counselling services to remain possible and financial sustainable. Huge thanks to GMCVO for their support! Managing Director of Now You’re Talking Therapy | Providing Counselling & Therapy Across the UK | Driving Profit with Purpose to Support TLC: Talk Listen Change Mission | Backed by 40 Years of Charitable Impact
September marks Suicide Prevention Month, a cause I care about deeply, though I wish it didn’t hit as close to home as it does. When I was 18, I lost my wonderful, kind-hearted Dad to suicide. This devastating loss forever changed my whole world, my perspective on life, mental health, and the importance of reaching out for support. Before I wrote this blog, I hadn’t spoken about the details of my Dad’s passing in a professional setting—not because I’m ashamed or afraid to talk about it, but because I’ve been unsure of how people might react to that word. Suicide. I am grateful to my incredible friends, family and colleagues TLC: Talk, Listen, Change & Now You're Talking who have always been so supportive and understanding. Life after you have been bereaved by suicide, is never the same again. I want to continue to share my story and raise awareness. There is always hope. And in the words of Florence and the Machine “it’s always darkest before the dawn” Life is always worth living. #SuicidePreventionMonth #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone

🆕 Guest blog: How investment helped us to navigate turbulent times, by Michelle Hill, CEO, TLC: Talk, Listen, Change. In our latest guest blog, Michelle details how a move from difficult to obtain grant funding to social investment has enabled the organisation to continue to deliver their services. A £180,000 investment helped them launch their new company, Now You’re Talking Therapy - a provider of counselling and therapy services that offers customers choice, flexibility, and assurance that their support is of the highest quality. "The bold steps we’ve taken have reinvigorated our staff and Board members, and most importantly, helped to protect our charity. I encourage everyone to consider change and innovation as solutions during this difficult period."
