For many of us, this has been A YEAR. And with a host of factors coming to a head at the end of October (winter budget, clocks going back, etc.), it’s no surprise people are feeling low. Online searches for ‘how to find a therapist’ have also hit their highest point ever - and it’s no surprise there’s been a big surge of people searching for support. Many people, often those that have never even considered searching for therapists or counsellors before, are now on the hunt for someone that can help them cope with the unbelievable amounts of stress we’re all suffering from. October saw the focus of #BlackHistoryMonth renew TLC’s commitment to inclusion.    It opened up space for deep conversations, reflection and learning. All thanks to our dedicated People of Colour Staff Network Lead, Rachel, and her thoughtfully chosen (and thought-provoking) collection of resources and perspectives. But this shouldn’t be limited to one month.    Now, as #TrusteeWeek begins, we carry forward the commitment to building a future that celebrates diversity. We lean into the established relationship between our team and Trustee Board, achieved through the regular meeting of our People Committee - knowing that all these insights help us create and maintain a workplace grounded in lived experience.  - "My journey at TLC as a Trustee and People Committee member has shown me how critical diverse voices are to our success.
