In light of a tweaked rebrand and imminent new website and client reach, Team Thulsa has been reflecting upon 4 years of grit.
Outlasting a pandemic in our infancy, producing over 40 shorts and two features, as well as our Creative Director winning an Emmy as Associate Producer for a third feature.
It's apparent that this is an industry of constant growth in an ever changing landscape, and the odds are stacked against us in this industry. Art/filmmaking without a strong business acumen isn't sustainable... it's just painful.
However one 'consistent' is the need for good stories and when given the opportunity, that's all we ask at Thulsa, 'please make good films'.
And so after a busy few weeks with lawyers, admin and tweaking our workflow we are of course excited for the future... yet we are incredibly grateful to be in this moment where all things align and our hard work has come to fruition. It isn't possible to experience constant euphoria, yet we are delighted to have created a sustainable model for filmmakers & financiers and a new approach to true independent cinema.
Love,
Thulsa
