It's incredible to think it's already been a year since we opened our world-leading Dynamic Test Facility (DTF). In that time, this cutting-edge facility has accelerated our R&D and live customer programme processes, enabling real-time testing and immediate feedback. With the recent launch of VantageNOVA a testament to this investment, our DNA to 'push the innovation envelope' continues. We wish 'happy birthday' to our crash-test dummy, Martin, with many more years, and cakes to come!

Thompson Aero Seating is one of the leading suppliers of Business and First Class aircraft seating, with a worldwide customer base featuring many of the world’s top airlines including Delta, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines. With increasing market share and an evolving and expanding product portfolio Thompson’s seats are installed upon all major aircraft types from Airbus and Boeing including the A380 and Boeing B787 Dreamliner. Today, under the ownership of AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), one of the world’s largest and leading aerospace companies, we are one of Northern Ireland’s most successful and fastest growing businesses. Recent years have seen a rapid growth in our order book with around 650 staff across 4 sites located in the Portadown and Banbridge areas which includes full design, engineering, manufacturing and R&D capabilities. With Thompson’s planned future growth and expansion plans being backed and endorsed by AVIC, together with the ability to offer a broader range of cabin interior products under the recently created AVIC Cabin Systems (ACS) division, the Thompson success story looks well set to continue.

Thompson Aero Seating Limited's latest product, the herringbone VantageNOVA member of its wider Vantage premium seat family, is breaking cover today with a full set of cabin renderings across its hybrid layout options. Nova is a compact herringbone seat that will be offered in either a fully outward-facing configuration (where all seats face away from the aisle) or as a hybrid configuration (where window seats face towards the aisle and centre seats face away from the aisle).
