    "When are people becoming disengaged and why?" 🍍 One of the reasons we created Pineapple is because of what Abi says below. Say you've got your report back and you're significantly under or over on a benchmark. 📊 It's not always clear why but it's a great metric to look further into. Maybe your turnover is way higher than the average, if you begin to analyse the benchmarks surrounding it you can see where your problem starts. Maybe your 6-9 month average turnover is really high compared to your 0-3 and 9-12, you can look at what's happening during those months to disengage your teams. Is it training, is it pay, or is it something else? The data won't lie. 📉 When you have the reason why - that's when you can make a real difference to your people strategy.     Really enjoyed chatting with Abi Dunn from This.Is.Pineapple about the difference people benchmarks can make to hospitality teams. Abi talked about how teams are using the data to provoke the right conversations… why it’s a bit more nuaneced than looking at the benchmark as a “good score/bad score”… and how the best teams are looking to experiment to identify the drivers of their business outcomes.     Our Q1 report showed that for every 92 employees there was only 1 person in the People Team. 🍍 Just one person to ensure that from the top down, the people you hire are happy. With so little resource, it's even more important that instead of focusing on what you *think* needs time, budget and energy, you should be focusing on what the *data* tells you needs time, budget and energy. Do businesses take their people as seriously as they let on? The one's who join Pineapple do. The more data and insight we get, the bigger and better your personalised benchmark reports will be.
