🚨FDA Guidance for Industry Oct 2024 🚨 This is not translations-specific, but it helps us understand the wider context of what we are translating - PROs - selection, consideration of patient burden, quality of data, and so forth. Link (get the kettle on): https://lnkd.in/eBK4efHN "This guidance provides recommendations to sponsors for collection of a core set of patient-reported clinical outcomes in cancer clinical trials and related considerations for instrument selection and trial design. Although this guidance focuses on patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures, some of these recommendations may be relevant to other clinical outcome assessments (i.e., clinician-reported outcome, observer-reported outcome, performance outcome) in cancer clinical trials."

Imagine: a cultural adaptation workshop and the subject is.. British biscuits. Thanks for the inspiration for this post #VeryBritishProblems British biscuit customs are no joke. Tell someone you prefer a Custard Cream to a Jammie Dodger and you might just start a national debate. Where would you even start, with adapting this subject for other countries? Would we ask Italians which type of biscotti they dip in their espresso? How about the French and their 🥐 preferences? Do Americans take their cookie options so seriously? Is it really a Greek tradition to have 'spoon sweets' with a glass of cold water at coffee time? Cultural nuances are everywhere - even in something as seemingly small as an afternoon tea custom. When we adapt questionnaires or materials for different audiences, it's mission-critical to remember those little quirks that make us who we are. What's that one thing in your culture that's just as serious as tea and biscuits are to us Brits? Share your thoughts below - we could use a laugh to brighten up the afternoon (or some new snack ideas!). 👇
