You need to think about this sooner than you think... When actively pursuing investments, M&A, bolt-on acquisitions, ideally think about Post-Merger Integration as part of and during due-diligence (DD). A good Integration Director will have skills in DD to support and/or establish key and critical success factors in terms of strategic, financial and sociocultural rationale of the deal specification. Important in this case to involve the Integration Director, who has these skills, as early as possible to ensure success of the deal post-merger.
