A father and his son at the opposite ends of their careers with INEOS Acetyls have spoken of their pride at working side by side at the global chemicals company. Analyser specialist Gary Garner, 63, has been based at Saltend Chemicals Park, east of Hull, where INEOS is based, for 47 years. He is the longest continuous service worker at the Hull site and his career, which started off with BP before INEOS took over in 2020, has seen him travel the world with secondments to other manufacturing plants in countries including India, Malaysia, China and South Korea. By contrast, analyser technician Jamie Garner, 23, has been with the company almost three years, after it was recommended to him by his dad. #careers #longservice #careeropportunnities #chemicals https://bit.ly/3MPQY6t Ellie Westwood

Rural broadband provider Quickline Communications Limited has expanded its senior leadership team. The appointment of three experienced executives supports the company’s recent successes in securing four Government contracts under the Project Gigabit programme. Valued at approximately £300m of public funding, the contracts will bring full fibre broadband to almost 170,000 premises and 360,000 rural homes and businesses in need of improved connectivity. The network expansion across Yorkshire and the majority of Lincolnshire is well underway, with customers already being taken out of broadband poverty and getting connected to the new full fibre network being built in rural communities. #appointments #seniorteam #seniorleadershipteam #broadband #connectivity https://bit.ly/4ggOf3z Sean Royce Gemma Bell

If you could choose the best place to watch your favourite band at an arena gig, you would probably say from a comfy chair, right in the middle of the venue and from an elevated position offering panoramic views of the stage. That experience is now available in Hull after last night’s launch of the Live Lounge at Connexin Live, Hull for the visit of Scottish rockers Texas. It’s at the high end of the market but it’s a premium and memorable experience for those who can and it begins from the moment you arrive at the Myton Street venue. After downloading the app of ticketing partner AXS, you simply present your code for scanning at the dedicated VIP entrance and you’re in. From there helpful staff direct you to the Live Lounge on the first floor, where the entertainment and experience begins... #livemusic #liveentertainment #arena #arenaexperience https://bit.ly/4e8gQWW Paul Savage
