Here are a few cyber threats you should be mindful of: ➡️ Malware – constantly evolving ways of infecting PCs to create chaos by disrupting services and ways of working. ➡️ Ransomware – this is where hackers take control of IT systems to steal data and demand payment from their victims to recover it. ➡️ Phishing - a form of social engineering scam where attackers deceive people into revealing sensitive information or installing malware such as ransomware. ➡️ Smishing - sending fraudulent text messages pretending to be from a reputable source to induce someone to reveal personal information, such as passwords or a credit card number. ➡️ Spoofing – disguising a communication as being from a reputable source when it is not.
