Our Company: The Glenmorangie Company is one of the prestigious companies owned by Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton (LVMH). It is home to Glenmorangie Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, two of the world’s most respected whisky brands. The Company has its global headquarters in central Edinburgh, with further offices and a state-of the-art bottling facility in nearby Livingston, West Lothian. The business employs over 300 people across its six locations and is proud to have been awarded the Platinum Award by Investors in People. The Glenmorangie Company is a multi-award winning business with its most recent plaudits including the Whisky Magazine Icons of Whisky Awards 2022 Global Distillery Manager of the year for Glenmorangie Distillery Manager Ed Thom; and the 2022 International Whisky Competition (IWC) Distillery of the Year for the fourth time in five years for Ardbeg Distillery. Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, ‘The Untamed Spirit of Islay’, is revered around the world for its unorthodox personality and its big, peaty flavours. It has been described as “unquestionably the greatest distillery on Earth”.

    At The Glenmorangie Company, we are dedicated to shaping the future for the next generation by providing valuable internship opportunities. In partnership with Career Ready, we hosted three high-school students from West Lothian for a four-week paid internship. During their time with us, they experienced working across diverse environments at our Head Office in Edinburgh and our bottling plant in Livingston. A heartfelt thank you to Max, Aurlah and Emilie for their positivity in engaging with the internship programme and nurturing their skills and expertise. A special acknowledgement goes to Kevin Smith, Jordan Flockhart, and Ben Currie for their exceptional mentorship and support to the students as they embark on their professional journeys.     Ardbeg has been named the best distillery visitor centre in Scotland by Milroy's of Soho. In the Whisky Travel Index 2024, our team was praised for the range of experiences offered, including outdoor tastings, as well as our courtyard space which is perfect for picnics. Achieving high praise across these areas, we received a Diamond ranking.     Did you know that Dr Bill Lumsden is a passionate collector of fine wine? As a wine lover and a pioneering figure in the art of wood-finishing in whisky, Dr Bill has long been inspired by the myriad of flavours that wine casks offer Glenmorangie. And so, today we release the Glenmorangie Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection, an exceptionally rare trio of aged whiskies and an ode to Bill’s passion for wine. Many years ago, Dr Bill travelled through Europe’s finest wine regions, sourcing precious casks from revered areas in Burgundy and Bordeaux in France and Piedmont in Italy. Then he filled them with whisky, imagining the flavours exceptionally long wood finishes could create. The Pursuit of Passion showcases three of Dr Bill’s most delicious and innovative experiments, encased in a handmade oak presentation case, reflecting the wondrous flavour journey captured in each bottle. Aged 29, 28 and 27 years respectively, these rare creations are united by their extraordinary complexity. The first in the trio was distilled in 1995 and finished in Margaux wine casks for 20 years – longer than any other Glenmorangie – revealing intense flavours of chocolate, plums and sweet chilli. The second, also distilled in 1995, was finished in casks from the prestigious Corton-Charlemagne appellation in Burgundy, the only whisky in the trio finished in white wine casks, giving forth notes of jasmine, soft smoke and clove. The final whisky was distilled in 1996, with a select parcel poured into Barbaresco red wine casks, never previously used at Glenmorangie, in 2005, resounding with hints of leather, rich spices and eucalyptus. Limited to just 600 sets, the Glenmorangie Pursuit of Passion Wine Cask Collection is now available to pre-order through the Moët Hennessy Private Client channel.     Take a look as Ardbeg ambassador DJ BBQ makes a sweet and smoky Tenicillin cocktail with Ardbeg Ten Years Old. As part of the Distillery’s ‘Masters of Smoke’ series, DJ BBQ partnered with Mr Xia , a globally-renowned pitmaster based in Sichuan, China. Mr Xia took inspiration from the flavours of the ‘Tenicillin’ serve to create a Northern Chinese barbecued lamb dish:  some might think it’s the perfect smoky pairing. What do you think?     Glenmorangie Dr Bill Lumsden x Azuma Makoto 23 Years Old was launched at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery in London a few weeks ago. Guests joined Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Director of Whisky Creation, and Azuma Makoto, Japanese botanical artist, to try this extraordinarily rare 23-year-old single malt which pays homage to everything found in nature, from the soil to the sky – a concept in Japanese known as ‘shinra bansho’. Azuma re-created his living masterpiece, Shinra Bansho, which adorns the whisky’s packaging and features many of the single malt’s tasting notes, incorporating flora and fauna from delicate orchids and juicy blackberries to forest-floor moss and woody tree bark. Cocktails and canapés were enjoyed as guests were encouraged to touch and smell the botanical sculpture as they tasted the whisky, helping to bring all its flavours to life.     Glenmorangie’s delicious and wonderful world was brought to life with Rivaayat’s three-city celebration series which brings together art, culture and – of course – Glenmorangie’s single malt Scotch whisky. Through Glenmorangie’s collaboration with design mavericks, SHIVAN & NARRESH, the Delicious Living series aims to elevate at-home celebrations. Rivayaat features a selection of homeware designs from the collection, including the Infinity Swirl, transforming everyday moments into unforgettable memories. Lavish and intimate events were held in Kolkata and in the Kathiwada City House in Mumbai showcasing Shivan and Narresh’s beautiful designs along with Glenmorangie’s single malt. Planning for the third and final extravaganza is in progress and promises to be just as delicious.
