Good Food For Good Causes
About us
We fight food waste and food poverty by redistributing surplus good food to charities who need it. The Felix Project collects surplus fresh food from food retailers and wholesalers. We sort this in our depots and deliver it free of charge to charities and schools that provide hot meals and food parcels to people in need. This is a simple model that addresses the crucial issues of food waste and food poverty. We pass on the fresh, healthy food to charities who need it, supplying food for community kitchens, homeless hostels, food banks, refuges and charities cooking for people overcoming illness, incapacity or addiction. Our operation is simple, reliable and efficient. We have a small team of staff and more than 450 volunteers who drive our fleet of electric vans, walk or cycle to collect food from suppliers and deliver to around 1,000 charities and schools. Every hour volunteered enables 100 meals worth of food to be delivered and every £5 donated enables us to rescue £14.5 worth of food.

Fantastic to have Marsha Lacey and the Marketing and Communication team from one of our amazing partners TP ICAP come in and spend an afternoon volunteering at Felix’s Kitchen. They absolutely smashed it and helped to pack over 3,500 meals, which is incredible. TPICAP rocked up in their caps, which is an epic example of sustainability as disposable hair nets were not needed and we'd love to encourage all our volunteers to follow their lead with this. We're very grateful for the funding we receive from TPICAP via #ICAPCharityDay which supports us not only in delivering food weekly to a number of schools in London, but also enabled us to set up the Stratford Youth Led Pantry. ICAP Charity Day is one of the highlights of the year for us at The Felix Project and we love being a part of it alongside all the other amazing charities that take part. Thank you TPICAP. #thefelixproject #tpicap #charity #volunteer

Good luck to everyone from Howden Insurance Brokers Limited who are cycling form London to Monaco over the next 10 days. That's 1,000 miles of hard peddling to raise £50,000 for charity 💚. But a feat like this deserves more than just a cheer from little old us, that's why we got in touch with the legend that is James Golding to give you a proper send off! Take it away James!

The Felix Project reposted this
I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy with the sinking of the Bayesian near Sicily. I have had the absolute pleasure of knowing Jonathan in his role at Morgan Stanley where he has been a passionate champion and supporter of the firm's partnership with The Felix Project over many years. Jonathan was always so warm and kind and took time to come out to our depot in East London and always spoke so brilliantly at the Christmas carol concerts supporting our work. I always loved sitting next to him and sharing stories of our work and lives - he always made me laugh and cared a great deal about the work we do. We often talk about the Felix family - the community of people who make our work possible - and our colleagues at Morgan Stanley make up an important part of that community, with so many coming and volunteering their time at our depots and kitchen. Our thoughts are with them all having lost such a wonderful colleague. My deepest sympathies go out to Jonathan’s and Judy’s family and friends.
