Today we welcome 5 new members to the Earthshot Prize Family! Humanitarian and restauranteur José Andrés, environmentalist and activist Wanjira Mathai, and indigenous activist and author Nemonte Nenquimo will join an expanded Earthshot Prize Council. Alongside Prince William and Earthshot Prize Chair Christiana Figueres, the Earthshot Prize Council is a diverse team of individuals passionately committed to championing environmental solutions, who will select the five Winners of a catalytic £1 million Prize from this year’s 15 Finalists. The Earthshot Prize was designed to discover, spotlight and scale groundbreaking solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. To spotlight these solutions and the innovators behind them, we are launching the Global Ambassador program. As the first-ever Earthshot Global Ambassadors, Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha will leverage their platforms and profiles to bring the stories of our Finalists and Winners to a wider global audience. https://lnkd.in/eDb9dcUA
