Yesterday, our management team The Colonist Report and The Colonist Report Africa commenced our first training session with Ken Kiunga from the Google News Initiative ! He trained us through some amazing Google tools to help us strengthen and elevate our work. Big thanks to Kenneth and the GNI team!

Congratulations to our founder and managing editor Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi Out of over 900 applicants, she was among the few selected for the GIJN Africa conference masterclass in South Africa.

Yesterday, our managing editor Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi attended the Association of British Science Writers conference in London! 🧠 She gained valuable insights into how AI is transforming newsrooms & learnt practical skills for using AI agents in news reporting. She also other discovered innovative tools & approaches for tackling climate & environmental issues, which are essential for the work we do at The Colonist Report & The Colonist Report Africa

For the past two days, our Managing Editor, Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi has been in Lichfield, UK, where she showcased the AI-powered tools we're developing to benefit members of Co-operatives UK She also teamed up with a coding group & helped them build a demo database for their project. 📷Amrit Singh (MrASingh)

Earlier today, our founder Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi attended Chatham House Sustainability Accelerator Unconference. She shared insights about our work The Colonist Report & The Colonist Report Africa & her session was: "How can we create a sustainable future for victims of multinational pollution?"

We got mentioned in the Earth Journalism Network #newsletter! From late August until yesterday, I was completely occupied with my team at The Colonist Report and The Colonist Report Africa on releasing our 9-month investigation and coordinating with our publication partners. I only saw the newsletter today after noticing EJN's repost from Pascaline's post.
