Huge congratulations to the winners: Saatchi Gallery (‘Only in Chelsea’), Dorinda Montgomery (‘Community Hero’), Alison Jackson and A Day in Your Life (‘Community Collaboration’), Green & Stone (‘Cultural Champion’), Ice Cream Union (‘In Good Taste’), CHELSEA ARTS CLUB LIMITED (‘Masters of Craft’) and Anya Hindmarch (‘Future Forward’) and our many nominees. Thank you to our judges, Trinny Woodall (beauty entrepreneur and founder of Trinny London), the Mayor of Kensington & Chelsea, Will Lane, Dr James Thompson (Chairman of the Chelsea Society), Vestalia C. Many thanks to Walpole for creating such a fascinating report on the increasingly powerful relationship between luxury, creativity and the arts: https://lnkd.in/eW78S-SQ #luxurylondon #culture #creativity
Last week, Walpole members gathered at Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea for the launch of The State of London Luxury 2024 report. Commissioned in partnership with Cadogan as a part of Walpole Culture Month, the second edition of this annual report explores London's position as a global luxury capital and, for the first time, explores the symbiotic relationship between luxury, creativity, and the arts. This morning, the BBP's Net Zero Carbon Working Group held an insightful session on Scope 3 emissions measurement and reporting. A huge thanks to our co-chairs, Alan Page from M&G Real Estate and Sarra Pardali, from Cadogan, for steering the discussions, and special recognition to Sarra for her new role as co-chair. With engaging presentations from Christopher Botten and Darryl Stuckey of Lendlease, we explored key categories of Scope 3 emissions and best practices for measuring and reporting. We’re grateful to all who joined and shared their knowledge. Looking forward to 2024-25, we’ll continue to drive discussions on embodied carbon, net zero carbon in life sciences, and progressing our BBP Offsetting Procurement Guide, which is on track for completion by March 2025. For more information on the Net Zero Carbon Working Group, please visit: https://lnkd.in/eJJqEkyv
This morning we convened the Better Buildings Partnership’s Net Zero Carbon Working Group for a knowledge-sharing session focussed on Scope 3 emissions measurement and reporting. Our excellent speakers were Christopher Botten and Darryl Stuckey of Lendlease, and thanks go to our co-chairs, Alan Page from M&G Real Estate and Sarra Pardali, CEnv from Cadogan for guiding the discussions, in particular Sarra who recently took on the role of co-Chair! Through presentations and interactive breakout discussions, we explored: - The definitions and categories of activities within Scope 3; - An overview of Lendlease's Scope 3 Protocol document – its origin, purpose, and value to the industry (https://lnkd.in/eCBjjtjE) - How organisations can get started with measuring and reporting Scope 3 emissions, focusing on three core categories: Capital Goods, Purchased Goods and Services, and Downstream Leased Assets. - What best practice looks like for each category and strategies for firms to progress in their reporting journey. - Guidance available to commercial real estate companies including from the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF). We also provided BBP members with updates relating to the BBP Climate Commitment, the UK NZC Buildings Standard, Science Based Targets initiative and GRESB. With 60 attendees joining from across the BBP and MAP memberships, the session was highly engaging. We will be distilling the findings from the breakout discussions to consider a formal output. A huge thank you to all participants for your active involvement and contributions during these breakout sessions. Looking ahead to 2024-25, the Net Zero Carbon Working Group will be exploring key topics such as embodied carbon, net zero carbon within the life sciences sector, and progressing our BBP Offsetting Procurement Guide, on track for completion by March 2025. As always, the group will continue to support BBP members in delivering on their net zero carbon commitments. Stay tuned for more updates!

'If your summer is dominated by balancing entertaining children and back-to-school preparations, a day out that accomplishes both might be something of a tonic. With that in mind, we asked Cadogan Estate's Marketing and Communications Executive, Kaya Gregg, to create a fun-filled day out in Kensington and Chelsea for all the family' Walpole
