About us
Talking Talent inspires inclusive cultures where people and business thrive. For almost 20 years we’ve been helping organisations create the kind of work environments you’d want for the people you care about: inclusive, fair, and with opportunities for all. We do this through transformational coaching and development programmes that fuel lasting culture change. Our expert coaches empower under-represented talent and their leaders, creating the kind of self-awareness that improves the way people work together. Not only is it morally and legally the right thing to do, it makes commercial sense too. There are proven financial benefits of having an inclusive workforce and we help organisations realise them. By a conservative estimate, we collectively save our clients £150M in retention each year. That’s not a bad return for doing the right thing. Visit us at www.talking-talent.com

“The most powerful tool we have for creating change is our ability to connect with one another.” – Teresa Hopke Yesterday, we had the privilege of hearing from one of our outstanding leaders. We’re incredibly fortunate to have Teresa Hopke leading Talking Talent's mission toward a more equitable workforce. Her insights continue to shape and inspire our journey. A sincere thank you to From Day One for providing an invaluable platform for these crucial conversations. #Leadership #Equity #TalkingTalent #WorkplaceCulture
Connection. That's what I had the privilege of speaking about in my keynote at today's From Day One conference in Brooklyn. My message was simple - let's rethink the way we are approaching DE&I. Let's shift the focus to building the human connection that we are hard-wired to need. Teach people how to lead with curiosity, empathy, compassion & an appreciation for what unites us rather than focusing on categories & labels that divide us. If we can get connection right, then DEI(&B) will follow as natural outcomes. The key takeaway.......The most powerful tool we have for creating change is our ability to connect with one another, one conversation, one story, one moment of understanding at a time. In doing so, we not only create more inclusive environments—we fulfill our potential as human beings. Who can argue with that?!

Celebrating NDEAM 2024: Access to Good Jobs for All! 🌟 October marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions workers with disabilities bring to our workplaces and economy. This year’s theme, “Access to Good Jobs for All,” reminds us of the importance of ensuring every worker, regardless of ability, has access to fulfilling, meaningful employment opportunities—not just in October, but all year long. Here are some ways your organization can engage during NDEAM: Review Workplace Policies: Reaffirm your commitment to inclusivity by ensuring your policies reflect a welcoming culture for all. Establish a Disability Employee Resource Group (ERG): Create a space where employees can connect and find support, fostering a sense of belonging. Train Supervisors: Equip your leadership with the tools they need to cultivate an inclusive environment, including providing reasonable accommodations. Educate and Inspire: Host brown-bag lunches or informal discussions to raise awareness about disability inclusion, or share inspiring stories of team members. Let’s work together to break barriers and build workplaces that value the talent and potential of every individual. #NDEAM2024 #AccessToGoodJobsForAll #DisabilityInclusion
