Barcode Festival meets -196 for the first time ✨ Our -196 brand brought Tokyo to a corner of Barcode with its izakaya-themed bar and DJ booth. And it wouldn’t be an activation at Barcode without a bit of competition for our visitors. Festival goers had to “crush” the lemon on the floor to hit exactly -196 on the clock, in order to be entered into a prize draw for ¥196,000 (£1,000). With over 5,000 attendees from across the FMCG industry, we distributed thousands of samples of our lemon and grapefruit flavours. We love seeing our teams spending time giving back 🤗 Last week our External Affairs team joined together at Bhaktivedanta Manor, a Hare Krishna Temple in Watford, to help out with some garden maintenance to enhance the beauty and sustainability of the Manor's grounds. They assembled their top team of leaf rakers and woodchip layers to clear away and collect old leaves for mulch and create space for new plants and flowers. Across SBFE, this June, once again we celebrated Pride month; reaffirming Suntory’s global commitment in celebrating the uniqueness of our people and showcasing support to the LGBTQ+ community. It was a month full of colour, from the joyful decorations in the offices, to the local events organised voluntarily by our people. This annual event gave us the platform to focus on improving our awareness on Allyship; supporting equal rights for everyone – regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender or religion, calling out discrimination and supporting the fight for equality. We organised Pride panel discussions and workshops partnering with external experts, in addition to having our own people’s sharing. Although Pride month 2024 is over, it does not mean that we’re done with raising awareness and celebrating the uniqueness of our people! Bringing Tokyo to London 🤩 Last month our -196 brand created a konbini-inspired pop-up in Shoreditch as part of its UK launch. The sold-out event saw attendees step through a fridge door into a secret izakya (speakeasy) where they were met with a DJ and -196 bar. With over 700 attendees and queues down the street, our event was attended by some of the country’s biggest food and drink influencers and we distributed thousands of samples of our new lemon and grapefruit flavours. #Minus196 #RTD 18+ #drinkresponsibly

Today we say a huge goodbye and good luck to our COO Carol Robert as she leaves for a new adventure in New York. Carol takes on the role of Managing Director, United States RTD business, Suntory Global Spirits, leading the innovation pipeline and brand development of both new and existing alcohol RTD drinks. Carol transferred from GSK in 2014 with the acquisition of Lucozade and Ribena by Suntory and has since occupied many leadership roles across Europe, including an incredible five years as SBF GB&I COO most recently. Through strong leadership and a performance-driven mindset, Carol - with her team - has transformed our business growth and established a strong company culture. This move from SUNTORY BEVERAGE & FOOD EUROPE to Suntory Global Spirits is the first at such a senior level and is testament to how Suntory Holdings Limited is committed to nurturing leadership talent within the whole group.
