Back in June, our team visited Trinity St Peter's Primary School in Merseyside and sat down with Assistant Headteacher and gold winner of last year's 'Teacher of the Year in a Primary School' award Matthew King, to find out more about how he uses Sumdog to support maths learning in his school 🧑🏫 Matthew first started using Sumdog with his pupils over eight years ago while teaching in a previous school. When he moved over to Trinity St Peter's in 2017, Sumdog was one of the first platforms he wanted to implement 💡 To support his classroom teaching, Matthew uses Sumdog with his pupils on a daily basis and appreciates the opportunity it gives children to lead their own learning. His class love the range of exciting games Sumdog offers, as well as the ability to play alongside their friends and against other schools 🎮 When it comes to Sumdog's online maths contests, Matthew and his pupils love to get involved! What have we been up to over summer? 🤔☀️ This summer, we met up with our Strawbees teammates in Manchester to share ideas, map out marketing strategies for the upcoming school year and get to know each other better 🎉 In a workshop led by VP of B2B Marketing Kirsty Smith, our teams participated in an icebreaker activity where we created our very own magazine cover to portray our individual personalities 🎨 We also participated in a Sumdog and Strawbees branding activity, brainstorming ideas and creating strategies to showcase our amazing products to more schools 📈 Following this, we then embarked on an exciting treasure trail exploring Manchester's Medieval Quarter with clues hidden throughout the city 🔍 As we love a bit of friendly competition at Sumdog, we headed to Social Sixes to battle it out in the cage in a game of cricket 🏏 We're so excited to be collaborating more with our sister company Strawbees to help support teachers and children across the globe with engaging learning!
