🥁 🔉 Introduction to the Gartner #EmergingMarketQuadrants (eMQs) for #GenerativeAI Gartner #GenerativeAI team just released a new update to the Innovation Guide for Generative AI Technologies (https://lnkd.in/eUxcUBYP) introducing the Emerging Market Quadrants for Generative AI. WHY? Faced with a fast-changing market like GenAI/AI, it can be incredibly difficult for Gartner clients to make a decision. If you wait just another week, a better option might emerge, but you can’t keep putting the decisions off week after week without risking falling behind your competition. As such, you need help identifying and assessingvendors/products and determining when to make your purchase decisions. With 100s of vendors to consider and rapidly evolving trends, clients need regularly updated market insights as well as a framework to assist in deciding the most critical questions they need to ask when evaluating vendors. To solve for this, and as a complement to the deeper dives of our more than 100 per year Magic Quadrants, which focus on narrow market scopes, the Emerging Market Quadrants take a two-prong approach: 1. First, we conduct ongoing information gathering from vendors via surveys as well as Gartner secondary research using publicly available information from vendor sites and software reviews. This is designed to mimic the process that buyers would use when researching vendors. (For all the vendor scores, see Tool: Vendor Identification for Generative AI Technologies. Second, we apply a consistent scoring methodology across the vendors (e.g., start-ups, scale-ups and large vendors) and position them in the familiar quadrant format based on the scores.
