At sString we recognise that we have a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements 🌍 We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an essential part of our business strategy and operating methods. As part of our active efforts, sString utilises working from home. The Circular Economy's article about carbon emissions produced by office working and home working demonstrates how home working can produce less GHG emissions during a working week 📆 For example, in one of their scenarios home working carbon footprints were lower (13.35kg CO2e/week) than office working (33.02kg CO2e/week)! At sString we a committed to continuously improving our environmental performance 🌳 That is why we are so excited to announce our recent donation to Seawilding as part of our 1% for the Planet membership. Seawilding is the UK's first community-led native oyster and seagrass restoration project! One of their main goals is to advance the environmental protection of Scottish coastal waters by creating and implementing projects to restore marine degradation areas. Our donation will go towards supporting our work with communities to restore the keystone species, native oysters and seagrass, in Scotland in order to restore bio-diversity and sequester carbon! #Seawilding #onepercentfortheplanet #sstring

During the assessment to become a B Corp our overall management practice and impact on the land, water, and biodiversity was evaluated 🌊 One of the ways in which sString gives back to the environment is through our Ecologi | B Corp™ membership! During our time as a member we have avoided 100 tonnes of CO2e. One of the projects which we have funded focuses on conservation efforts in the Amazon rainforest 🌴 The Amazon is not only the largest tropical rainforest in the world but also our primary carbon sink.
