⚡ We've opened the process for seeking new contract partners to help deliver long-term framework agreements for the construction, maintenance, dismantling, and renewal of overhead lines and poles up to and including 33kV on our Distribution Network in central southern England. 🌍 This #netzero renewal of thousands of kilometres of our network will strengthen its resilience, and help support greater capacity as more and more low carbon technologies connect. 🔎 To find out more about our plans, and the next steps for potential contract partners, please read the article below. #networkinvestment #networkrenewal

👷 We’re about to start work on a £12 million upgrade for homes and businesses in and around Bournemouth, supporting their move towards #netzero. ⚡Replacing existing infrastructure with more modern, efficient equipment means it can can better serve the needs of residents, business owners and the many visitors to the area. ⬇️ Starting on Monday 30 September, this multi-million pound project will build a more resilient and flexible network for some 200,000 local customers and you can read more in the article below. #community #network

🏆 You find us full of pride, after our very own Andrew Hurdle won the Power Industry Apprentice of the Year award at the Energy & Utility Skills Awards 2024. Andrew’s one of our Operational Planners, based in Portsmouth. He joined #teamssen back in 2021 on our Electrical Power Network Engineer Programme, and now helps keep our grid in central southern England running smoothly. ❤️ Andrew says, “I was initially shocked when I saw my name appear on the big screen - and I was still taken aback when I got back to my seat! My fellow SSEN finalists have all achieved so much; I really didn’t expect to win.
